There are approximately 52 million dogs living in households in the United States.  The reason is well known: They love us unconditionally and we love them for it.

Whether a part of a large family, or AS the family, for most dog lovers, life just wouldn't be the same without them.

I love my dogs with the same kind of devotion and intensity as I loved my children while they were growing up... ( wait until you've survived the teenage years before you scoff, dogs are much easier and still love you when they're 13! ).

During my 25 years as a portrait photographer, I found that I have gravitated toward the families who insist on including their dogs in the portraits.  Hanging what was to become the family heirloom over the fireplace without Rex, was unthinkable.  I like these people!  Today I specialize in capturing the unique and loving relationships between humans and animals, especially dogs and horses.
